After graduating I made the push into the programming realm. My first full-time programming gig put me in a windows desktop environment, programming in a modern GUI based flavor of BASIC. Often times I would inherit legacy systems, barely hanging on by a thread. After hours of painstaking work, it quickly became evident as to why systems fail: A lack of design, passion, and poor coding standards. Armed with this realization, I strive to design and create code that is clean, reusable, and could be understood by anyone.

When I'm not glued to a computer you can find me fulfilling my many passions. Sports and weather are clearly at the top of the list. At various points of the day, you can often find me giving weather forecasts to the office, or watching a DVR'ed Yankees, Giants, or Nittany Lions game. When it's nice outside, you'll find me skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, or throwing the lacrosse ball around. In addition, I love to travel. I've always been fascinated by the way different people around the world live their lives, entirely independent of each other.
