A good connection means everything. We strive for every client engagement to be personal, effective, and the best experience possible — all while making products that are two steps ahead of the competition.
Originally from Philadelphia, George made his way to Boulder after being assigned with the task of opening up a Colorado office with a previous agency, Refinery, where he worked with clients including Merck, Warner Bros, and Johnson & Johnson. Following this venture, George co-founded Imulus based on the simple idea that digital agencies should win when their clients win, and that true partnerships come from sharing, not just rewards, but risks too. With 20+ years of experience in the digital world and marketing, George provides leadership and expertise across all of our clients, as well as being the first point of contact with the majority of our new accounts. Outside of Imulus, George personifies a typical Boulderite, is extremely active in the local tech community, helps plan well-known events such as TEDxBoulder, and is on the Board for the Colorado Chapter of the Entrepreneur Organization.
Born and raised in Colorado, John has been drawn to computers from an early age, purchasing his first Tandy P-6 at the age of 12 — and has been experimenting with computers and the digital landscape ever since. After co-founding Imulus, John established himself as the architect behind the technical implementation of our projects. John has created and employed advanced web-based applications ranging from online job sites, user-configurable e-commerce ordering systems, web applications, and mortgage management for a wide variety of clientele.
A Denver native, Alex leads client services and operations at Imulus – he's responsible for the successful growth of our clients and the general day-to-day running of the agency. With him, Alex brings extensive experience having led multi-million dollar programs at agencies in New York and London, and has performed project, program, and product management roles with Fortune 500 brands; including Samsung, Target, NBC, Unilever, TUI/Thomson and RBS/Coutts — to name just a few. Born and raised in Denver CO, Alex attended college at American University in D.C. When you can pry him from his iPhone (and new Apple watch), you'll find him at a local cafe reading, obsessively automating his house, or jogging up and down the various beautiful trails in the area (with Tumble leading the pack).
Our resident foreigner, Alex is Imulus' primary strategist, responsible for driving product direction, monetization development, and marketing plans. Originally from Ireland, he comes to us from a varied background, making him valuable to our client's varied interests. Despite being a qualified consumer psychologist and CNS nutritionist, Alex’s previous experience varies from a Gizmodo reporter and sub-editor, to marketing consultant and London West End theatre producer. Also, he has extensive editing experience with various publications, and performing media/strategy consulting services for website and app companies following the success of his own business ventures. Outside of Imulus, Alex sits on the board of directors of a software company in Europe and attacks walls of ice with axes.
Born and raised in Saugatuck, MI, Ashlee ended up in Colorado by accident. At a young age she started a career in real estate, moved to manufacturing, then a CRM analyst in the telecom industry, then into creative talent recruitment and finally landed at Imulus – where she proved herself to be a natural salesperson. Very quickly, Ashlee discovered that Imulus is where she can spend all of her energy doing what she does best. Building relationships. Being a people person. Making valuable connections. Ashlee believes anything outside is worth doing (hence ending up in Colorado). You can find her exploring the wilderness of the Rockies via split board and mountain bike when she isn't convincing people to part with their money for Imulus' services.
A Connecticut native, Joe is a front-end developer with a background in user-centered design. After spending time studying in Colorado State University (and after a brief stint in Boston), Joe decided to stay in Boulder for a change of scenery. Lucky for us. Joe's skills in development were honed by working in large ad agencies and startups nationwide, expanding his skill-set to a plethora of items outside of pure development, making him a valuable asset to the team. Before that, it was traveling the country racing bicycles. He is constantly studying, experimenting, creating, and keeping up with the latest developments in technology and design, and counts mountain biking and golden-era rap music as fundamental influences. He also provides sarcasm for the entire office.

Originally from Seacoast NH, you'll probably find Emily climbing in Boulder Canyon, chasing powder (the snow kind), or brainstorming ways to get Colorado closer to the ocean.

Growing up locally, Ashley is our go-to for local advice (so few Coloradans in the office...). Aside from being our guidebook, she is our exuberant office and recruitment manager, juggling our day-to-day admin and simultaneously weeding out quality applicants for our ever-growing team. Ashley runs this office from open to close, and is revered as the holder of the checkbook (she pays us!). Hiring to finance, beer to Cheetos, this girl can do it all. Having a background and degree in Fine Art — from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Lakewood, CO — Ashley fits into the Imulus community perfectly – she speaks designer. Being a Colorado native, Ashley enjoys all Colorado type activities — including, but not limited to, drinking craft beers on patios, careening down mountains on a plank of fiberglass, and only using thin fabric as a shelter on weekends during the summer.
